Ditto to what everyone's been saying.. Abhilasha was as much fun for us as it (hopefully!!) was for you guys! Madhavan's coming was a serious illusion, god, I can remember the tension when we didnt know if he was coming or not. Speaking of tension, any slights we may have committed, if any of the council members didnt have time to talk to you properly; or if we ran away in a total rush when you started to come over to any of us, we blame it all on the tension.

I also personally blame on the tension forgetting to mention the clueless volunteers on stage... man, you guys rocked, the event was what it was all thanks to you. The patience of sitting in one hot place for hours on end while people tried to track you down... Well, waaw, I can't imagine what that must have been like. (*hailing*)

Definite treat for you guys soonish, Sruthi and I are planning something VAIRRRRRRRY special for you lot :)

hey....this is the first time am ever blogging....actually not....i've blogged before...rather i tried!!!! :D....!!!! anyways.....i've created this thingy only coz of susu bisu..........susuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu hope u read this....:D ....neways.....
let me come to the pt......ABHILASHA WAS FUN!!!!
lemme start off wid day1....day 1 was filled wid tension for us coz a lotta things were not goin rite......but then i guess in the end....thanks to our GOD KARUNAKARAN ANNA ( *hailing*)......things went on beautifully!!!! THANKS ANNA!!!!
Then ofcourse the meeting after day1 helped a lotttt!!!!! coz the difference between day1 and day2 cld b visibily seen by a lotta ppl! ofcourse....they didn't know wht had happened!!!!

day2 rocked!!!!! i can proudly say tht....!!!! THE MUSIC ROCKED thanks to ARPI....loadssssssssss of ppl personally came and told me....THANKS ARPIIII...... , The judges rocked too.....Sangeetha, Vijay yesudas, Mirchi Ajai, Lester, Miral, MR S V Shekar.........................pah! loadsss of them! and they all rocked!!!! mann!!!! seriously! wat a day! anyway.....i must mention this..... The standard of WESTERN DANCE was damn cool....coz all the departments were sexy !!!! THEY ROCKED!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE DEPARTMENTS!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS....CONGRATULATIONS TO GAYATHRI OF 1st E.M FOR BEING Ms. ABHILASHA and CONGRATULATIONS TO VAISHNAVI OF JOURNALISM FOR BEING TITLED Ms. ENTHUSIASTIC!!!!

Ellam Maya

Weeks of preparation eventually resulted in a mere Maya??? Naah! Illusions it was, but I still can remember hordes of colourful girls pinch themselves when they saw Madhavan enter the audi… Was this really Maddy??? And the highlight of the inauguration without doubt was when he lit the lamp returned to his seat and set his hair right… Wooooooooo, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwww went the girls as Maddy flashed his trademark smile…. It was time for him to speak, every chief guest does it, and so did he.

But Maddy seemed to be aware of the council tag line, BEYOND CONVENTION. He went on to take questions from the audience on life, philosophy and the like… We love you Maddy…

Day One began with some hitches. I do not shy away from declaring that we did have some starting problem… In spite of all the snags, we did manage to pull off the day one events with panache…

Day two was remarkable in its own way… Vijay Yesudhas, Mirch Ajai, Lester and Miral from Shaimak Davar’s Dance Academy, Devan and Sangeeta created a Mayajal…

Damn! This getting so formal! That’s not what I am meant to be doing! Cut the crap Susmita, get to the sense…

Okay, now Abhilasha is over (that’s as obvious) but that’s what I am meant to do, talk crazy stuff… Do I seem confused to you? I am suffering the aftermath of the Maya… Brahmam, Satyam, Jagan Mithya… It’s an existence that is not reality. It is a life which is not ours but a game of which we are sheer pawns who are controlled by a greater force.

Jeez! That got philosophical! That’s what Maya does to me…

ABHILASHA

Thats the name of the fest! And its time everybody gets themselves geared up for the first cultural fest of the year.

Before I forget, tomorrow all departments are to submit their team names to the council... And do remember that the ABHILASHA theme CANT be used as a team name!!!!! No ways,, We ll not accept any team that decides to call itself MAYA!!!! Put on your thinking caps and maybe singing "ellam maya..." will help too!!!
